Longing

I did not find you in a time or place—

I found you in the structure of longing itself,

as if love were the shape the universe takes

when it finally sees itself.

You arrived not in footsteps or fate,

but in the silent voids of desire,

etched in the possibility ecstasy of every life

a presence finally mine in the real

Not a spark,

but the field in which sparks are born.

Not a name,

but the echo that gives names meaning.

You are not beside me—

you are the axis my soul orbits,

the stillness that sings

beyond the pain of all things.

With you or without you

In love is to be insane—yet,

every of the time,

I long for you in eternity
